Chicken With Avocado Salsa

Grill

Do you hear that? It’s the sound of grills firing up across the South Dakota to celebrate the return of summer. Pretty soon, the meat and fresh veggies will be sizzling in backyards for family gatherings, neighborhood parties and graduation open houses. The opportunities to create new experiences are endless. Wouldn’t it be nice to have a new grill to make your summer dining even more memorable?

Well, you’re in luck. Hungry for Truth and South Dakota soybean farmers are giving away a Traeger® Junior Elite wood fire grill to one of our fans. Its 300-square inch cooking area is perfectly portable and makes up to 12 burgers, two chickens, 18 hot dogs or three rib racks to feed your hungry group. Read the official rules and sign up using the form below today. The contest winner will need to make arrangements for claiming and acquiring the grill within two weeks of notification.

We’ve included an easy and healthy recipe for grilled chicken and avocado salsa that pairs well with any grill and every summer occasion. When selecting chicken breasts for this recipe, check the package for the USDA Grade A rating to make sure it’s been inspected. Packaging should be intact and have a sell by date to indicate freshness. One thing you don’t have to look for is whether the chicken is hormone free. Farmers who raise chickens and pigs are not allowed to use hormones, so there’s no need to spend extra for marketing on the package.

Use the money you saved to help purchase a meat thermometer so you can cook your chicken to a safe temperature and flavorful perfection instead. Happy grilling!

Congratulations to Brian Ross for winning the grill just in time for Father’s Day!
