Game Day Chili

Game Day Chili

With football season kicking off, nothing spices up a party like some good, hearty chili. Made with wholesome and nutritious lean beef, this chili recipe requires minimum effort but provides maximum taste. Mix this together in a slow cooker and cook up a perfect dish for any tailgate or home viewing party. Watch local farmer Peggy Greenway share this recipe on KDLT’s In the Kitchen.

Beef is a nutrition powerhouse. Just one serving of beef provides half of your protein requirement for the day. It’s also high in iron, zinc and other vitamins and minerals. But where do beef cattle get their protein? It all starts with professional animal nutritionists. Farmers consult with these professionals to make sure they are providing their animals with the healthiest diets possible. Livestock diets often include soybean meal as a nutritious source of protein. South Dakota farmers and ranchers take great care to raise the best beef possible for you and your family, because it’s what they feed their families too.
