Harvest Season with Jeff Thompson

As summer creeps to an end, our farmers get ready for one of the busiest times of the year — harvest season. South Dakota Soybean President, Jeff Thompson, is one of these farmers in Colton, South Dakota.

It’s been an especially long season for our farmers with this year’s planting and now harvest season affected by a pandemic. Needless to say, getting through this harvest and seeing the rewards of hard work will be a moment of relief and gratitude. Keeping energy and morale high while staying healthy is crucial to ending this season on a good note.

Watch to hear Jeff explain how different farming equipment functions throughout harvest and what it means to finish a farming cycle.
