Cheeseburger Sliders

What could be more all American than burgers on the grill? With Memorial Day on the horizon, shake up your holiday fare with this variation on the classic cheeseburger. For grilling season, a wise, yet inexpensive investment to make is a meat thermometer. Proper meat preparation is important for making safe, healthy and tasty meals that maximize quality while ensuring meat products have been heated thoroughly without overcooking.

The beef in these burgers likely got its protein from U.S. soybeans. Beef cattle in South Dakota consume soybean meal in order to gain protein and essential vitamins and nutrients. The South Dakota beef herd consumes an average of 51,000 tons of soybean meal annually. You can find this recipe and others like it at http://www.hy-vee.com/meal-solutions/recipes. Happy grilling!
